NATIONAL CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL ADVERTISING + SPONSORED RIDES
Washington Blooms. So Does the Crowd.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival is not one afternoon around the Tidal Basin. It is a multi-week spring takeover of Washington, D.C. — drawing visitors into the National Mall, Navy Yard, Pennsylvania Avenue, hotels, restaurants, cultural venues, neighborhood events, and some of the city’s most visible public spaces.
For brands, that creates something unusually useful: time. Instead of one race, one concert, or one game, the Festival gives a campaign multiple weekends and multiple reasons to be seen. Kween Cab can turn that movement into mobile OOH, sponsored rides, street-level engagement, and branded transportation that stays useful while the city is crowded.

2027 FESTIVAL
March 20 – April 11, 2027 | Washington, D.C.
The 2027 National Cherry Blossom Festival runs from March 20 through April 11. Official programming spans the Tidal Basin, National Mall, Navy Yard, Pennsylvania Avenue and other locations across the city, creating several distinct campaign windows instead of a single event-day rush.
Signature programming currently includes BloomFest at the Tidal Basin, the Opening Ceremony, Blossom Kite Festival, Petalpalooza at Navy Yard, the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, and the Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival.
WHY BRANDS CARE
This Is Already a Sponsorship Market.
The Festival says it engages more than 1.5 million attendees each year across four weeks and actively sells sponsorship with customizable opportunities across in-person and digital experiences. That matters because we are not trying to invent a reason for brands to activate here. The buyer ecosystem already exists.
Recent Festival partners include Marriott Bonvoy, Toyota, Coca-Cola Consolidated, LaCroix, Aflac, Brookfield Properties, City Cruises, Lime, Giant Food, Hard Rock Cafe Washington DC, PhRMA, Takeda, Navy Yard BID, and others. These are exactly the kinds of brands, agencies, hospitality groups, and local partners that understand experiential visibility.

MOBILE OOH
The Audience Is Not Standing in One Place.
Cherry blossom traffic is distributed. Visitors move between the Tidal Basin, monuments, museums, transit stops, hotel districts, restaurants, Navy Yard programming, parade activity, and other Festival events. That makes mobile media unusually relevant.
Pedicab advertising can stay in motion where people are walking, waiting, arriving, leaving, taking photos, heading to meals, or moving to the next event. The campaign does not have to hope the audience passes one fixed sign. It can follow the audience through the parts of the city where the Festival is actually happening.
SPONSORED RIDES
Turn the Walk Into the Brand Experience.
Washington in blossom season is beautiful. It is also crowded, spread out, and full of visitors trying to get from one thing to another. A sponsored ride turns that friction into something useful: the brand covers the ride, the guest gets a break, and the campaign earns attention by helping instead of interrupting.
Sponsored rides can support hospitality programs, hotel guests, VIP movement, consumer promotions, agency activations, restaurant partnerships, and public-facing campaigns where the ride itself becomes part of the experience.

STREET TEAMS + SAMPLING
Put People Where the Foot Traffic Is.
The Festival’s scale also creates natural opportunities for sampling, QR engagement, promotional distribution, and ambassador programs. Pedicabs can serve as moving media, mobile support assets, distribution points, or simply the thing that gets people to stop long enough for a brand ambassador to have a conversation.
HIGH-VALUE WINDOWS
Not Every Day Has to Do the Same Job.
- Opening weekend and BloomFest at the Tidal Basin for early-season visibility.
- Blossom Kite Festival for family traffic and daytime activation.
- Petalpalooza at Navy Yard for music, nightlife-adjacent traffic, and waterfront activity.
- Parade weekend for one of the Festival’s highest-concentration public audiences.
- Sakura Matsuri weekend for additional Pennsylvania Avenue and downtown foot traffic.
- Hotel, restaurant, hospitality, and tourism traffic throughout the full Festival window.

BUILT FOR AGENCIES + SPONSORS
Plug Into the Campaign That Is Already Being Built.
Kween Cab can work as a standalone street-level program or as one layer inside a larger experiential plan. We can support agencies, sponsors, hospitality teams, local partners, and brands that already have Festival activations and want the campaign to keep moving beyond a booth, lounge, parade route, or event footprint.
Branding can extend across the pedicab, driver apparel, wheel covers, QR codes, ride messaging, sampling, and campaign-specific calls to action. Route tracking and proof-of-performance reporting can help document where the campaign operated and how the fleet was deployed.
WASHINGTON, D.C. CAMPAIGN MARKET
A Strategic Exception Worth Making.
Washington, D.C. is not one of Kween Cab’s core market pages, but the National Cherry Blossom Festival is a deliberate event-market exception because of its scale, sponsor ecosystem, long campaign window, and unusually strong fit for street-level media. Any campaign would be planned around local operating requirements, permitted areas, event restrictions, and the specific activation footprint before launch.
