ART BASEL MIAMI BEACH + MIAMI ART WEEK

The Fair Is Three Days. The Opportunity Takes Over the Week.

Every December, Art Basel Miami Beach becomes the anchor for something much bigger than one convention-center show. Miami Art Week spreads collectors, creatives, luxury buyers, galleries, agencies, hospitality guests, brand activations, private dinners, pop-ups and satellite fairs across Miami Beach and Greater Miami for days.

For brands, that creates a rare kind of event environment: a premium audience with money, influence and somewhere else to be every few hours. That movement is where mobile out-of-home, sponsored rides and street-level activations can earn their keep.

THE AUDIENCE IS ALREADY BUILT FOR PREMIUM BRANDS

Art Basel Miami Beach describes its 2026 edition as the most significant commercial moment in the U.S. art market calendar. The show brings 272 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and territories to the Miami Beach Convention Center, with VIP Preview Days before the public fair.

The audience is not limited to people buying art. It includes collectors, family offices, finance, fashion, design, hospitality, automotive, luxury, technology, media and the agencies building experiences around them.

MIAMI ART WEEK IS THE REAL FOOTPRINT

Art Basel is the tentpole. Miami Art Week is the campaign map.

The 2026 calendar stretches from November 30 through December 6 and includes Art Miami, CONTEXT Art Miami, Design Miami, SCOPE, Untitled Art, NADA Miami, Pinta Miami and numerous other fairs, exhibitions and programs spread across Miami Beach, Downtown Miami, Wynwood, Coconut Grove and other parts of the destination.

That matters because the audience keeps moving. A collector might start at a fair, move to a hotel meeting, attend a private dinner, stop at another exhibition and finish at a brand event or party. The same guest can cross several high-value environments in one day.

MOBILE OOH THAT MOVES WITH THE WEEK

A static placement owns one location. Miami Art Week does not stay in one location.

Branded pedicabs can put a campaign into the movement surrounding high-traffic art fairs, hotels, hospitality zones, galleries, restaurants and activation areas. The objective is not to circle one building all day. It is to identify the places where the right audience is actually moving and build the deployment around those windows.

SPONSORED RIDES: MAKE THE BRAND USEFUL

Miami Art Week involves a lot of short trips that become surprisingly inconvenient once traffic, event congestion, heat, formal shoes and packed schedules enter the equation.

A sponsored ride program turns that friction into a brand experience. The sponsor covers the ride, the passenger gets where they are going, and the brand becomes something useful instead of another logo competing for attention.

For hospitality programs, VIP events, agency activations and premium guest movement, that utility can be considerably more memorable than another static sign.

THE BRAND ECOSYSTEM IS ALREADY THERE

Art Basel is built around partnership. UBS is the Global Lead Partner, and Art Basel describes partner benefits in terms of brand association, privileged client access, dedicated lounge space, VIP guest opportunities, unique experiences and tailor-made brand strategies.

That tells us something important: this audience is already being marketed to through experience, access and hospitality. A street-level program should fit into that same logic.

STREET TEAMS + SAMPLING

Not every campaign needs a passenger seat. Street teams can extend an activation into the pedestrian flow surrounding fairs, hotels and event corridors with sampling, product distribution, QR engagement, invitations, directional messaging and lead capture.

Pedicabs and ambassadors can also work together: one creates moving visibility, the other turns that attention into an interaction.

ONE WEEK. MANY DIFFERENT BUYERS.

The useful prospect list around Miami Art Week extends well beyond galleries. Luxury brands, automotive companies, financial services firms, fashion and beauty brands, spirits and beverage companies, hotels, technology brands, real-estate developers, media companies and experiential agencies all use the week to entertain clients, launch products and build cultural relevance.

That is why this page is about Art Basel and Miami Art Week together. The sales opportunity is the ecosystem around the fair, not only the show floor.

BUILT FOR A CAMPAIGN, NOT A GENERIC ROUTE

Miami Art Week is too spread out to treat like a normal entertainment district. Campaign planning should start with the specific activation, target audience, hospitality schedule and priority locations, then build operating windows and routes around where the campaign can actually perform.

Kween Cab can coordinate branded pedicabs, sponsored ride programs, street teams and proof-of-performance as part of a larger agency or brand activation plan.

PROOF-OF-PERFORMANCE

For campaign programs, reporting can include route tracking, operating windows, ride counts, field photos, activation notes and other agreed proof-of-performance details. The goal is simple: give the buyer something more useful than “we were out there.”
